The official Twitter account of Tamiki Wakaki’s 16bit Sensation: Watashi to Minna ga Tsukutta Bishoujo Game (Bishojo Game Made By Me and Everyone) announced on Saturday, Dec 31, that the hit comedy manga is getting a TV anime.
Manga artist Wakaki also shared the news on his personal Twitter account. The announcement was accompanied with an illustration to commemorate the news. Check out his official post below:
Originally launched as a doujinshi work in 2016, 16bit Sensation: Watashi to Minna ga Tsukutta Bishoujo Game is a result of the collaboration between Wakaki and two members from the Japanese video game publisher AQUAPLUS, Misato Mitsumi and Tatsuki Amazuyu. The story is said to be inspired by the creators’ real-life experiences working in their company.
The series eventually made it into print and was published by KADOKAWA IN 2020. Its story was described as follows:
It’s 1992, and university student Meiko Uehara has just started a part-time job working at a local shop that sells PCs and PC parts. But it turns out that the shop is just a temporary cover, and that it actually primarily operates as a eroge development company that produces dating simulation games! After most of its staff left the company, Meiko is quickly appointed as a substitute graphic artist due to her ability to draw, but she’s never drawn anything that would get rated 18+! Will she be able to successfully complete an erotic video game?! With a 16-bit computer at her side, her life as a creator has just begun!
Details about the upcoming TV anime’s production staff, cast members, and debut date are yet to be revealed.
