Alice in Borderland creator Haro Aso is back in the manga scene! The artist announced on Sunday, Dec 25 that he is set to release a new manga series titled Sex-chan together with Mano Sakamoto and Tatsunari Iota . The new series, set to be launched on the Comic Cmoa manga website, will follow an adult genre and will center on the sexual lives of several women.

According to Anime News Network, Aso takes charge of the story, while Sakamoto handles the art. The original work is credited to Iota.

Aso is best-known for his work Alice in Borderland (Imawa no Kuni no Alice), which was recently adapted into a live-action series on Netflix. The manga’s story is described as follows:

Ryōhei Arisu is high school student who is irritated with his intolerable everyday life. One night, he tags along with his bad friend Karube and Chōbe to hang out in town. However, the town is suddenly covered in giant fireworks, and when he came to his senses, Ryōhei noticed that no one else was around. Finding themselves in a different world, Ryōhei, Karube, and Chota are forced to participate in survival games, or die right off the bat. The three fight to live, as well as find a way back to their own world.

Alice in Borderland was first serialized in 2010 in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday S magazine. It eventually transferred to Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2015 until it reached its conclusion a year later in 2016.

Its live-action adaptation premiered on Netflix in 2021. Its second season recently debuted last Thursday, Dec 22.
