Southeast Asian anime channel Aniplus-Asia announced through its Facebook account on Monday that it will air Arifureta Season 2’s original video anime (OVA), “Arifureta: Phantom Adventure and Miraculous Encounter.” The 40-minute OVA will premier on the channel on Saturday, September 24 at 23:00 [GMT+8].

The story of the OVA is set after the capture of the Sunken Ruins of Melusine. It centers on Hajime’s miraculous encounter in a devastated city while on the search for Myu, who got separated from him and the team during the trip.

Aside from the returning Japanese cast, Satoshi Hino will also join the latest animation as Naiz Gruen.
The OVA was first revealed in June this year following the finale of Arifureta anime’s second season. It is scheduled to ship on Blu-ray Disc on September 25. Each disc will come with a limited edition version of the 13th light novel volume of the series and will cost US$58.
Earlier, an advanced screening of the OVA was held at Tokyo’s Shinjuku Piccadilly Cinema on September 10. On the same date, the anime, through its official Twitter account, announced it will be returning for a third season soon.
