The conclusion of the legendary anime Attack on Titan is upon us, but before we reach the ending, fans may choose to walk down memory lane and re-watch the first season of the iconic shonen series on YouTube for free!
All 25 episodes of Attack on Titan Season 1 are now free to stream on Kodansha’s YouTube channel until February 5. The free episodes were extended to fans in commemoration of the opening of the Shingeki no Kyojin -the Musical- last January 7 at the Orix Theatre in Osaka, Japan.

Based on the best-selling manga of the same name by Hajime Isayama, Attack on Titan (Shingeki No Kyojin) is a dark fantasy anime set in a land ravaged by man-eating Titans. The series centers on Eren Yeager, an impulsive yet brave young boy who swears to eliminate all Titans after experiencing a tragedy that left him orphaned and traumatized.
Crunchyroll describes the story of the series as follows:
Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive. Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!
Isayama launched the manga in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009. The series quickly became a worldwide phenomenon since then.
The first season of the Attack on Titan anime adaptation premiered in 2013, followed by a second season in 2017. The third season was divided into two parts – the first part aired in 2018, while the second premiered in 2019. For its fourth and final season, the anime was cut into three parts. The first part debuted in 2020, followed by the second part in 2022.
The third and last part is scheduled to premiere in 2023.
