Yen Audio will release an audiobook of the novel Your Name by renowned author and filmmaker Makoto Shinkai in July 2024. The novel is based on his hit anime movie with the same title. This will be the first Makoto Shinkai title in Yen Audio’s catalog. The voice cast for the audiobook will be announced later. The novel Your Name came out in Japan on June 18, 2016. Toei Animation announced a sequel to the 2014 3DCG anime movie Expelled from Paradise. They called it Liberation from Paradise. The new film is still in the early stages of production. However, they revealed a key visual and a teaser video. They show its heroine Gabriel facing a harsh snowy landscape with a fiery resolve. A Tragedy Strikes the Anime Community On July 18th, 2019, Shinji Aoba carried out a horrific arson attack against Kyoto Animation’s Studio 1 building in Kyoto, Japan.
