Netflix has released a new trailer for Bastard!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-. It is a dark and action-packed anime series. It is based on a manga by Kazushi Hagiwara. The Story So Far
Bastard!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- is set in a post-apocalyptic world. Evil forces plan to resurrect Anthrasax, the God of Destruction. They are led by the Four Divine Kings. The Kingdom of Meta-llicana has only one hope. It is to awaken Dark Schneider, a powerful but evil sorcerer. He is sealed inside a young boy named Lucien. To break the seal, Lucien’s friend Yoko must kiss him. She is the daughter of the Great Priest.
The first season of the series aired in 2022. It followed Dark Schneider’s adventures as he fought against the Dark Rebel Army. He also faced monstrous allies. Along the way, he met old friends and enemies. One of them was Arshes Nei, a half-dark elf. She was his former lover and rival.
What’s Next
The second season will continue the story. Dark Schneider will face new challenges and threats. They will come from the remaining members of the Four Divine Kings and their Army of Decay. The trailer also hints at some secrets and mysteries. They are about Dark Schneider’s past and destiny.
