The story is about a noble lady named Elianna Bernstein, who loves books. She came from a family of readers, hence she preferred the company of books than people. However, as a noble, she is supposed to marry. In her debutante season, Prince Christopher Asherald proposed marriage to her. She was hesitant, but Prince Christopher offered her a good deal: she will gain access to the royal archives and her social duties will be limited. Lady Elianna accepted this, and she became the prince’s fiancée in name only. Lady Elianna learnt how to be more open to others during the time she spent with the prince. However, she discovered that the prince is actually seeing another noble lady, so she thought of ending the engagement. Unfortunately, Lady Elianna’s feelings became complicated.
