The hype is definitely real for OG Anime Fans! Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Anime is back after 10 years, and it is definitely something for the history books!
On Sunday, 11th of September 2022, the advance screening for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War television anime debuted its second promotional video. The staff also announced more members of the crew and cast, the artists who will be singing the anime’s theme song, the 45-episode run time of the show which will be split into four cours (one for each season of the year), and its October 10 premiere.

The upcoming arc of the television anime is based on the “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc of the original manga by Tite Kubo entitled Bleach. The television anime features its original voice actors like Masakazu Morita (Ichigo Kurasaki), Fumiko Orikasa (Rukia Kuchiki), Yuki Matusoka (Orihime Inoue), Noriaki Sugiyama (Uryu Ishida), Hiroki Yasumoto (Yasutora “Chad” Sado), and Kentaro Ito (Renji Abarai).
However staff of the up-and-coming television anime also announced additional casts, and they’re just as amazing as the Original casts! The newly announced casts are:
- Wataru Hatano (the voice of Hitoshi Shinso from My Hero Academia) as Hidetomo Kaojomaru
- KENN (the voice of Ronals Knox from Black Butler) as Berenice Gabrielli
- Takahiro Fujiwara (the voice of Kurogiri from My Hero Academia) as Jerome Guizbatt
- Wataru Komada (the voice of Ryuta Seki from Burning Kabaddi!) as Asguiaro Ebern
- Daiki Hamano ( the voice of Nanashi from the Seven Deadly Sins) as Luderd Friegen
Tatsuya Kitani is singing the opening theme song “Scar,” while SennaRin is singing the ending theme song “Saihate”
The anime will run for four cours, with breaks in the middle. The premiere is on the 10th of October exactly at midnight.
Viz Media will be the one holding the North American Premiere at New York Comic Con on October 8th. NYCC states that the premiere event will be ahead of a simulcast of the anime.
The television anime will cover the rest of the original manga up through to its ending.
