Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Becomes No.1 Anime, Replaces Full Metal Alchemist

By Ashley De MesaOctober 12, 2022

The return of the classic Bleach series has stirred the anime community’s excitement! It has been a decade since Bleach last aired, and fans have waited this long. Nostalgia will be felt, a guaranteed trip down memory lane.

As such, it is no wonder that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has become the highest-rated anime as reported by MyAnimeList. It has an audience score of 9.12, rated by over 30,000 users so far. The fact that it has already garnered high ratings from a small yet growing audience is already telling of its success. If the users increase, then the audience score for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will most likely go higher.

As of now, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has surpassed Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood as the no. 1 anime based on the user ratings. Although both anime share the 9.12 audience score currently, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has been gaining high ratings in a rapid pace. Take note that the anime just released its first episode, yet it has managed to secure the top spot immediately. It has surpassed Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which is known to be the number 1 anime in MyAnimeList ever since.

This is the final battle Ichigo Kurosaki must face. He has become a Substitute Soul Reaper after he gained powers, so he was caught in the problems the deceased souls are facing. The deceased souls gather together, forming the Soul Society.

The Soul Society observed that there are a rising number of Hollows being killed in the World of the Living. At the same time, Seireitei, the land of Soul Reapers, got attacked by a group called the Wandanreich.

The Wandanreich declared war against the Soul Reapers with the following message: “Five days from now, the Soul Society will be annihilated by the Wandenreich.” As such, Ichigo Kurosaki prepares himself to face this new threat once and for all.
