In an interview on the Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War official website, Tite Kubo revealed that the second cour of the anime will showcase an original battle not found in the manga.
When asked about what he is excited about in the second cour of the anime and what he wants the audience to pay attention to, Kubo stated that there will be a battle in the anime that is not in the manga. He had wanted to include the fight in the original work however, the production staff asked him if he wanted to include it in the anime and he agreed.
Kubo didn’t reveal which characters will be involved in the fight. He said that he didn’t illustrate the whole scene in detail, panel by panel but he drew them on about five or six sheets of paper, “moving like this, changing like this, fighting like this”, and so on.
