Less than a month before its TV premier, CloverWorks’ Bocchi the Rock rolls out its first character trailer with special focus on its protagonist, Hitori Gotoh. The short video, running only for 30 seconds, was posted on Aniplex’s YouTube channel on Friday.

The upcoming anime is an adaptation of a hit 4-koma manga by Aki Hamaji. It follows the story of a loner high school girl who finds solace in playing the guitar. Her passion for music eventually leads her to a group of musicians who call themselves the “Kessoku Band.”
The manga was first launched in the Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Max magazine in 2017. The series is still ongoing and is set to release its fourth tankoubon volume on August 26, 2022.
Before the character trailer, a different promotional video and a key visual for the upcoming anime were released on Wednesday.
The series will star Yoshino Aoyama as Hitori, Sayumi Suzushiro as Nijika, Saku Mizuno as Ryo, and Ikumi Hasegawa as Ikuyo.

CloverWorks will serve as the animation production company for the series.

The anime adaptation is scheduled to debut on October 8 on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV channels.
