The original “juvenile science fiction” manga’s story is set in the near-future year of 2049, when humanity has known for several years that the Earth would collide with a large-scale comet. The manga’s plot revolves around Yma, a young boy who is preoccupied with space, robots, and the imminent crash. He meets an extraterrestrial creature, which he discovers is linked to the oncoming comet.
Tetsuya Imai (Alice & Zouroku) debuted the manga in January 2011 in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine. For the manga, Kodansha issued two compilation book volumes. The manga has been licensed by Kodansha USA Publishing and will be released in English on January 24.
