Prior to the confirmation of the adaptation, news about Busu ni Hanataba wo getting TV anime has been circulating online. Earlier this week, manga store Hiroshima Animate shared on Twitter some pictures of their latest book arrivals, including Busu ni Hanataba wo‘s 12th tankobon volume. The photos reveal that the volume comes with wraparound jacket band announcing that the manga is getting an anime.

Serialized in 2016, the manga follows the life of the self-depreciative freshman Hana Tabata. Unpopular and far from the ideal, Hana spends her mornings secretly daydreaming while tending to the school’s flower beds. One day, her secret morning routines were discovered by Yosuke Ueno, the most handsome boy in her class.
