Chainsaw Man has returned, and the manga’s update arrived just in time for Valentine’s Day. After all, the holiday is centered on love, and couples all throughout the country are celebrating with one another. You can only imagine how Denji would spend Valentine’s Day if his love life went as planned. And this week, a familiar figure throws Denji off more than usual.
Of course, the entire problem revolves around Nayuta. If you’ve been following the manga, you’ll know that the reborn Control Devil has set herself up for an exciting chapter this week. She concluded Chapter 119 on a high note, launching an attack on Asa after the girl was possessed by Yoru and kissing Denji.
Now, it appears that Nayuta wants his caregiver to part from his classmate. She strikes a bargain with Denji concerning Asa, and the youngster eventually decides to remove himself from Asa in exchange for putting Nayuta first.

Rather than physically punishing Asa for the kiss, Nayuta utilizes her talents to influence the girl’s thoughts. As a result, Asa believes she is a dog, which horrifies Denji. He requests that Nayuta release his companion, but she would only do so on two conditions. The first is that she may eat ice cream anytime she wants, and the second is that Denji no longer befriends Asa.
Nayuta doesn’t go so far as to guess what Yoru is up to, but she does remark Denji’s past with women is the reason for concern. Denji clearly does not want to exclude Asa from his life, but in the end, he concedes that Nayuta comes first. The issue now is whether Denji will keep his vow or whether Yoru will force his hand in some way.
What do you think of this new chapter and the seemingly well-developing relationship between Denji and Asa? What kind of development will we see in Chainsaw Man’s upcoming chapters? We’re guessing only Tatsuki Fujimoto knows.
