In a world where everyone is turned into stone, knowledge is everything. It is a power that will let you survive the unknown of the wilds. In the world of Dr. Stone, it is not only Senku Ishigami that should be given credit for how far humanity has achieved in the Stone World. This is because many have lent him a hand for his plans to succeed. Also, these characters have proven that they can also keep up with Senku’s out-of-this-world intelligence.
The Japanese animated series and its original manga were created by Riichiro Inagaki. The writer of the said manga has always been intrigued by science as a kid. Unfortunately, Riichiro Inagaki didn’t become the scientist he once hoped to become. Instead, he masterfully created Dr. Stone with accurate scientific facts as entertainment. The series also houses insanely smart characters. They all constantly prove the significance of science and other intellectual abilities, be it in the modern or stone world.
To be able to withstand the difficulties of the Stone World requires great intelligence. Of course, not all of them are as smart as Senku but all possess intelligence that is still needed in the Stone World. Therefore, here are the characters from Dr. Stone ranked according to their intelligence quotient (IQ).
18. Ginro
He may not be as smart as Senku or even Chrome. But, this village guard has made us laugh quite a few times throughout the series. Ginro is the brother of Kinro. Unlike his brother, Ginro is very much the coward between them. Before being amused by scientific inventions, such as soap bubbles, he always openly express his fear towards them.
Being one of the village guards means that Ginro has also shown physical prowess fit to protect the village. However, he has also shown laziness by slacking off and being absentminded in certain things. But, Ginro has always been sincere in everything he does and has always accepted any tasks despite his fears or despite being forced by his brother.

17. Magma
He is considered the strongest warrior in the Ishigami Village. Magma is a former enemy of the Kingdom of Science and he even tried to kill Gen once because of his hatred toward them. His hot-tempered personality made it difficult for him to be understood and understand others. After reconciling with Senku, he became the brawn in successfully building the scientific inventions of The Kingdom of Science. Despite being physically strong, Magma appears to be a gullible person and someone who tends to act before thinking.

16. Kinro
Kinro is the brother of Ginro who works alongside him as one of the village guards. He is a man who greatly honors hard work and fairness. Living by the phrase rules are rules. Kinro upholds the rules set by the village and those around him. At first, Kinro was first prideful and illogical for not wanting to admit his eye problem and for not believing that there is life outside the village.
Like Ginro and Magna, he is also reliable in terms of defending and fighting for the people. However, what sets Kinro apart from the two is that he tends to be more focused than the two and is willing to help Senku anytime.

Being a former policeman in the modern world qualified him to be part of Tsukasa’s Empire. If Kinro abides by the rule, this one disregards them. Yo Uei was rude and arrogant constantly belittling people from the Stone World, mainly Chrome, who was held captive. Being a policeman in the modern world means that he also possesses average intelligence qualifying him to be one.
However, he did not live a good life as a policeman. Instead of legally doing things, Yo Uei relentlessly killed corrupt officials on the spot resulting in him losing his badge. But, he, later on, became one of Yuzuriha’s helper in repairing the destroyed statues as a way to redeem himself.

14. Taiju Oki
Taiju may not be as smart as Senku and may not be very much inclined toward science. However, he knows how to utilize his own strengths. Taiju’s immense physical strength and stamina give him the ability to participate on the battlefield, particularly in defensive skills.
As part of Senku’s team, Taiju knows his boundaries and priorities and is willing to risk his life just to save others. Tsukasa valued her skills; hence, she was assigned to spy on Senku and his friends from the village. Her spying skills proved that she cannot only fight but has also a sharp memory. Just through her observation, she easily memorized all the names of the people from the village. She can also make the right decision quickly which saved her a couple of times.

12. Nikki Hanada
It is not that easy to familiarize yourself with more than one language. Nikki Hanada is a die-hard fan of the famous singer, Lillian. Her love and admiration for Lillian allowed her to see through Gen’s disguise as Lillian. Being Lillian’s fan also made her proficient in using the English language.
Though her speaking skills aren’t accurate, she can still understand and slightly use them for communication. Learning another language is hard regardless if she is a die-hard fan of Lillian or not. Yuzuriha possesses knowledge above average. Despite her innocent look, she was always able to keep up with Senku’s scientific explanations even in the modern world. Unlike her love interest, Taiju, Yuzuriha is someone you cannot fool easily. For instance, when Gen and Senku decided to convince Tsukasa’s people by pretending to be the US Army, she immediately saw right through Senku’s plan.
Yuzuriha also utilized her wits by secretly putting the broken statues piece-by-pieces in Tsukasa’s Empire using sewing as an excuse. Her ability to deduce Senku’s plans not only proves how long she has known him but also her intellect because Senku is not someone you can easily keep up with.

Despite his age, Kaseki always showed enthusiasm in making the scientific tools that are needed or those requested by Chrome or Senku.
Crafting scientific tools is not that easy. But, Kaseki can easily understand the mechanics behind it even if they involved chemistry. He is considered to be intelligent because he does not only make the tools and is done with them afterward. Instead, he can easily point out what and how they are used. Kaseki is a man who takes great pride in his work.

In addition, Tsukasa is capable of accurately predicting Senku’s plans allowing him to prepare beforehand. He also possesses knowledge in chemistry which made him realize that nitric acid is the key to Senku’s de-petrification. Even the creator, Riichiro Inagaki, revealed that Tsukasa can rival Chrome’s intellect if it was in a school setting.

3. Chrome
The brilliant scientist from the Stone World, Chrome. He is believed to have innate high intellectual abilities because of his deep love and passion for science. Despite Chrome being one of the local Ishigami villagers, he had shown his scientific skills by gathering minerals and plants he can use in inventing or creating stuff even as a kid.
Chrome is probably the Senku of the Stone World. Even without the help of modern civilization, he is able to show off his intelligence by using all the available resources around him. He can also invent things according to his own intellect, particularly the water wheel. Chrome’s curiosity and determination in learning make him one of the smartest characters in the series.

2. Byakuya Ishigami
Byakuya Ishigami may not have an intelligent equal to his son. However, being a university professor and an astronaut proves that he too possesses knowledge that is above average. Besides qualifying as an astronaut is already a huge deal that requires intense training and various intellectual assessments. Furthermore, Byakuya Ishigami did not have the chance to say goodbye to his son, Senku, due to the world’s pertrification.
But, he made the impossible possible by inventing an alternate recording CD that allowed his voice and the rest of his crew to reach Senku and the others after thousands of years.
