Dark Gathering is about Keitarō Gentōga, who has the ability to be a spirit medium. He got someone else involved in a spirit position episode in junior high school, and he has been a shut-in for more than two years. He meets a brilliant girl named Yayoi Hōzuki as he reintroduces himself to society as a private tutor. Yayoi recognizes Keitarō’s talent as a spirit medium right away and encourages him to accompany her to a haunted site. The two then set out on their expedition to capture evil spirits.
