Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is back on screens for Season 3 as part of the Spring 2023 anime schedule, and the latest episode of Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc has begun Tanjiro Kamado’s newest phase of training! Tanjiro and the others took some of their heaviest hits yet in Demon Slayer Season 2 as they faced off against a member of Muzan Kibutsuji’s Upper Ranks for the first time in real life. It demonstrated how much Tanjiro needed to mature, and that maturation is currently in full force with Season 3 of the anime.
Tanjiro was previously transported to the so-called Swordsmith Village in order to fully prepare his body and sword for his next major mission against the demons, and while he waits, he’s doing everything he can to not only regain his previous strength, but potentially become even stronger. Tanjiro has begun his new training arc in Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 2 and is tapping into something that will benefit him in the bouts ahead.
Check out the trailer for the New season here:
Tanjiro meets Kotetsu shortly after meeting the Mist Hashira, Muichiro, and after their initial fallout, whose family once made a mechanical doll modeled after a swordsman from the Rengoku Era (which Tanjiro recognizes despite never meeting face to face). With the two of them harboring grudges towards Muichiro, Kotetsu advises that Tanjiro practices with the doll instead. Tanjiro begins an intensive fresh session of training with Kotetsu’s assistance, pushing himself without food or drink.
At the same time, Tanjiro’s training seemed to be kicking him into high gear. Without food or drink, his fatigue pushes him to a new level, allowing him to quickly tap into a new skill that allows him to see the swift new assaults before they impact. It’s something he’ll be able to cultivate with more training from now on, but the question is whether he’ll be able to do so before the main clashes in Demon Slayer Season 3 begin.
