Get your leashes ready for the October 22 premiere of the educational anime Dog Signal. NHK revealed more cast and staff members for the TV anime. The anime will premiere on NHK Educational channel at 5:00 p.m. (4:00 a.m. EDT).
As announced previously, Kazuhiro Furuhashi (SpyxFamily, 1996 Rurouni Kenshin) is directing the anime at Fugaku. The scriptwriter Satomi Ashino, Kōhei Yoshida as sound director, and Michiru Oshima as composer. Performing the anime’s opening theme song “Setsugetsu Fūka” (Snow, Moon, Wind, Flowers or Nature Across Changing Seasons).

Anna Mugiho as Sanju, Miyu Samura’s toy poodle

Kenichirō Matsuda as Woolson, Shinichirō Niwa’s standard poodle

Mariya Ise as Yūko, Sanju’s former owner and Miyu’s ex-girlfriend

The main cast includes:
Kensho Ono as Miyu Samura, the MC who aims to be a professional dog trainer

Kenichi Suzumura as Shinichirō Niwa, a skilled dog trainer with whom Miyu have a fateful encounter

Yuko Kaida as Ritsuka Izumi, a pet groomer and Niwa’s childhood friend

KENN as Suzunosuke Kubō, a veterinarian

About Dog Signal
Dog Signal is manga series written and illustrated by Saya Miyauchi. It has been serialized since 2018 under Kodokawa’s josei manga website Comic Bridge. The chapters have been collected in to nine volumes as of February 2023.
The manga revolves around the life Miyu Samura, a rookie dog trainer. His ex-girlfriend left him with a toy poodle that he doesn’t know how to take care of. He meets Shinichirō Niwa, a dog trainer and Miyu’s life begins to change. Shinichirō also introduces him to the pet groomer Ritsuka Izumi and the Suzunosuke Kubō.
