Domestic Girlfriend’s Author Announces New Manga Releasing Soon

By Janiene LerioJanuary 3, 2023

Romance and Shoujo Manga readers, this one is for you. The January issue of Shueisha’s Grand Jump Mucha magazine stated on Tuesday that Kei Sasuga will debut a new manga with the working title Issho ni Kurashite Iidesuka? (Is It OK if We Live Together?) in the magazine’s next issue, which will be released on February 21.

The manga’s plot is around a young man who lives in a share house with five attractive women who have peculiar circumstances.

Kei Sasuga definitely has his way with romance and special circumstances, even his previous works are a mirror of this. Many Readers find it amusing to read his stories because of the unique storyline and even because of the unique way he executed the plot. Domestic, for example, is well-received by many because of its complicated yet uniquely romantic element. If his upcoming work is of a similar caliber, then it should be a sure hit!

In October, Sasuga released the Couple Gaihi Desu!! (It’s a Secret Between Couples!!) manga in Grand Jump magazine.

Sasuga began the Domestic Girlfriend manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in April 2014 and plans to finish it in June 2020. In August 2020, Kodansha released the manga’s 28th and final compiled book volume.

Crunchyroll published chapters of the Domestic Girlfriend manga in English as soon as they were released in Japan. Kodansha Comics also published the manga digitally, with the 28th volume debuting in English in February 2021. The manga spawned a television anime series, which debuted in January 2019. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for streaming and home media distribution, and HIDIVE streamed it as it aired in Japan. After the first four episodes aired, Crunchyroll began streaming the anime. The anime’s English dub was created by HIDIVE.
