Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack is based on Nanashi’s manga, which was published by Kodansha in 2017 and contains 14 tankoubon volumes as of August 2022. The first season of Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro has 12 episodes and aired from April 2021 to June 2021.
Kodansha describes the manga as:
Nagatoro is a freshman in high school who loves teasing and torturing her older male classmate! What’s her motivation and why does Senpai put up with her? Does Nagatoro just want to create misery for Senpai? Or maybe she secretly likes him?
The new season is produced by OLM rather than Telecom Animation Film, and the director position has been passed from Hirokazu Hanai to Shinji Ushiro (Mazica Party, Tomica Bond Combination Earth Granner, Yokai Watch). Taku Kishimoto, series composer and scriptwriter, and music composer Gin (Busted Rose) return for Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack, although Misaki Suzuki of Telecom Animation Film is now listed as principal character designer rather than merely character designer.
Makoto Shiraishi (Beyblade Burst Superking) has joined the team as art director, Naoto Kondou (Mazica Party) as color designer, and Tatsumi Yukiwaki (Mazica Party) as photography director.
Meanwhile, Sumire Uesaka as Nagatoro-san, Daiki Yamashita as Senpai, Mikako Komatsu as Gamo-chan, Aina Suzuki as Yoshi, Shiori Izawa as Sakura, and Nana Mizuki as Buchou are among the returning cast members. Kaori Maeda as Orihara, Sayumi Suzushiro as Sunomiya, and Yoshino Nanjou as Anetoro are among the newcomers.
