The EDENS ZERO anime and video game have unveiled a character trailer for the charming protagonist, Shiki Granbell, on their official Twitter account. This reintroduction to the series’ lead, voiced by the talented Takuma Terashima, comes just in time for the highly anticipated Season 2, set to premiere in April of this year.
Based on the manga by Hiro Mashima, EDENS ZERO Season 2 is set to be brought to life by director Toshinori Watabe, known for his work on Tokyo Ghoul:re, at the prestigious studio J.C.STAFF, taking over from Season 1’s director Yuji Suzuki. The series composition will be handled by Mitsutaka Hirota of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles, while the character designs will be created by Yurika Sato, the animation director of The Demon Girl Next Door.
Netflix, the platform bringing the first season to fans around the world, provides the following description of the series:
It is the year X492, an age in which people freely travel through the universe. Rebecca, a video-creating B-Cuber, visits the robotic world of Granbell and meets a young man with special powers: Shiki, who’s lived his entire life among machines. Soon Shiki is exploring the cosmos with Rebecca, encountering new places, people and things, and making friends along the way.
