Definitely the biggest news today was the ufotable collab with Genshin

I can't wait to re-watch some of these iconic scenes we got to experience in game like the Tartaglia or Raiden fight

Zach Aguilar who voices Aether, one of the twin protagonist of the game also shares his thoughts about the anime. Many have already expressed their excitement to the anime’s release owing to the fact that it will be under Ufotable, an animation studio responsible for animating cult classics like Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost Hunt, Loveless, Black Butler, and recent fan favorites like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma, Darling in the FRANXX, among many others. It’s expected that Genshin Impact’s fanbase have high expectations to the said collab.

The trailer opens up with a HoYoverse x Ufotable logo with the background of Lumine and Aether’s falling stars, a nod to the game’s opening sequence, followed by Paimon, your in-game flying companion guiding you towards the light. The game’s opening music can also be heard playing in the background accompanied by the sounds produced by Teyvat’s various topography.

The trailer showcases Teyvat, with it’s serene glades, lush forestry and raging waters. The game itself already boasts a magnificent displays of graphics and beautiful scenery however ,the animated trailer featuring Teyvat in a new light is a wonderful feast to the eyes.

Genshin Impact’s update stream not only announced the anime concept trailer but also the upcoming contents for patch 3.1. The update will include two new Archon Quests, three new characters from the new Sumeru region for the next banner, and two new 5-star weapons and three 4-star weapons that will be added to the weapon banner. Collei, one of the new dendro characters will be permanently included as a reward for completing Spiral Abyss 4-4 Chamber 3, regardless of which game version you started the game.

Starting with the next parch Genshin Impact will now have a new permanent gameplay option: Genius Invokation TCG, which will allow players to play against NPC’s, PVE’s and PVP, the latter being a novel addition as the game only previously allows you to play with friends but not against them. Many players have since expressed their frustrations for the lack of a competitive option in the game and this new mode will hopefully satisfy that need.

Hoyoverse (formerly known as Mihoyo), released Genshin Impact on September 28, 2020, on Android, iOS, Windows, and PS4 however a Nintendo Switch release is yet to be announced.
