An original anime, Giant Beasts of Ars, is set to release in January 2023. The anime also shared the key visual, teaser video, and character visuals. The staff and cast was also revealed. ASAHI Production will serve as its animation producer. There have been no announcements yet on which Japanese broadcast channel it is going to air. The official Twitter and website will be sharing the updates for this.
Giant Beasts of Ars is centered around a world in the age of heroes and mythology. A great beast created the Earth, but humans stole it. Angered, the giant beast ate a human. The humans also retaliated. This then started the conflict between humans and beasts. Beasts caused huge damage on the world, while in turn, humans hunt them down to prosper.
“Giro the Undead” is one of those humans who hunt giant beasts on the daily basis. He then meets Kuumi or “Number 22” who escaped a laboratory. They will stumble upon many of the world’s secrets. This includes the human empire, a strange experiment, and the giants themselves.

The teaser provided the setting and the main characters of the anime. It established the setting as a world where humans fight against giant beasts. Giro is one of those humans, who is particularly skilled in hunting giants with his spear. Kuumi also wields a mysterious power and a promise ring that has a unique ability.

Myah and Melan flanked the side of Giro, while Romana is on the side of Kuumi. They are in Ars, the world ravaged by the giants. But humans have made efforts to respond to this danger in technology: as seen in the spaceship.

These are the characters who will play a big role in the anime. Their respective voice actors were also revealed.
They are as follows (from left to right characters):
- Kuumi – voiced by Hina Hitsujimiya
- Giro – voiced by Tomoyuki Morikawa, known for playing Minato Namikaze in Naruto Shippuden, Yoshikage Kira in Black Clover, and many others
- Myah – voiced by Yu Serizawa, known for playing Yumemi Yumemite in Kakegurui, Kaname Arisugawa in TONIKAWA: Over the Moon For You, and many others
- Melan – voiced by Daimu Mineta
- Romana – voiced by Yoko Hikasa, known for playing Houki Shinonono in Infinite Stratos, Mio Akiyama in K-On! and many others
Akira Oguro will be the director, while the screenplay is written by Normitsu Kaiho. Ashito Oyari drafted the characters, while Hiroshi Shimizu and Masato Kato designed them. Shuji Katayama and Akiya Suzuki will be composing the music.
