Goblin Slayer fans rejoice! After a 4 year wait, we are finally getting Season 2 of the series, and big news is about to drop!
On January 1st, Goblin Slayer rang in the new year by releasing a poster letting the world know new information will drop on January 5th, 2023.

What will the big announcement be? Many are speculating that we will be given a release date window for the new season, as it has been many months since Season 2 was announced.

For those just discovering the anime, Goblin Slayer is a dark fantasy series written by Jumo Kagyu and drawn by Noboru Kannatsuki. It has been adapted into one season of anime already. The story follows a young man known as the Goblin Slayer that is a member of a guild of adventurers. His role is to exterminate goblins, which are depicted as cruel creatures that kill humans.
The series is known for its grim and violent themes and has a dedicated fan base for its blend of action, adventure, and fantasy elements.
As a warning, Goblin Slayer is rated for mature audiences. The first episode of the series was heavily criticized for depicting the gang rape of the female fighter character by goblins. Critics cited that the scene was gratuitous and that its cinematography served as fan service. The series remains controversial to this day, yet has a dedicated fan base. Many acknowledge the first episode could have been handled better.
