Manga readers have an extra reason to rejoice this September, thanks to Kodansha USA’s exciting digital licensing announcements. The renowned publishing company disclosed on Wednesday its acquisition of the fantasy manga, The God-Tier Guardian and the Love of Six Princesses, and the riveting martial arts battle manga, Gamaran.

The God-Tier Guardian and the Love of Six Princesses is scheduled to kick off on Sept. 6, followed by Gamaran on Sept. 20. The new offerings will also be available upon release on different platforms, including Bookwalker, Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play, Nook, Kobo, izneo, MyAnimeList, and more.

The God-Tier Guardian and the Love of Six Princesses Synopsis

The God-Tier Guardian and the Love of Six Princesses is a reincarnation fantasy series written by Touwa Akatsuki and illustrated by Hisashi Kakoyama. The manga is primarily based on the light novel’s original character designs by Tetsubuta.

The series is described as:

In order to stay by the side of his liege, Arsmeria, the devoted knight Vance chose to reincarnate with her a thousand years into the future. The second digital series to debut this month under Kodansha is Yousuke Nakamaru’s Gamaran. It is a martial arts battle manga set during the Edo period. 22 The manga was first serialized in Kodansha’s weekly Shounen Magazine in 2009. It is the first time it will be released in English on Sept 20.

Its story is described as follows:

Unabara Domain—home to nightmarishly strong students and masters of martial arts of all kinds. The lord of the Unabara has decided that whichever of his sons discovers the strongest martial arts style will be his heir, but when 28th son Naoyoshi Washizu decides on Ogama-style practitioner Gama Kurogane, son of notorious father and scion of a “weak” style, to represent him, the odds seem bleak. But between Naoyoshi’s determination and Gama’s hard-earned strength, they may yet come out on top!
