Great news to Golden Kamuy fans! The anime’s official website announced the show’s fourth season will restart its broadcast on April 3 at 11:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX and BS11. The website also updated the roster for character visuals and voices for the fourth season.

The show delayed episodes 7-13 of the fourth season (episodes 43-49 of the entire franchise) due to the passing of a main staff on November 1. According to the press release, the staff member who passed away was “indispensable” to the production, thus after some deliberation, the production committee of the anime’s studio, Brain’s Base decided on the delay. The season’s home video releases will now be delivered on July 26, August 30, and September 27.
The series debuted its fourth season on October 4, 2022, on Tokyo MX, YTV, Hokkaido Broadcasting, and BS11, and on October 7 on Channel Neco. Amazon Prime started the broadcast in Japan on October 3. Crunchyroll streamed the series in English simultaneously as it aired in Japan.

Brains Base replaced Geno Studio as the new season’s animation producer. Shizutaka Sugahara (D-Frag!) replaced Hitoshi Nanba as chief director. Noboru Takagi is coming back to supervise the series scripts. The new character designer is Takumi Yamakawa, replacing Kenichi Ohnuki.
The anime debuted its first season in April 2018. Crunchyroll streamed it with English subs and Funimation streamed it with an English dub as it aired simultaneously in Japan. The second season premiered on October 2018. and was broadcasted live on Crunchyroll, and later, Funimation started broadcasting an English dub. The third season officially began in October 2020. It also had a simulcast on Crunchyroll as it aired in Japan, and Funimation also streamed an English dub for the series.
