Any Haikyu!! Fans still waiting for that season 5 announcement? Well, this may not be the news you’re waiting for, but it’s really really great news nonetheless! Gekidan ‘Haikyu!!’, the previously announced new stage play based on Haruichi Furudate’s Haikyu!! manga, will star 15-year-old actor Kenshir Kat as Shoyo Hinata, according to the Jump Festa ’23 event on Saturday. The play will be performed in Tokyo in August 2023.
The new production is directed by Kenta Suga, who played Shy Hinata in the seven Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyu!! stage plays. Suga confirmed his directing involvement in an August video.

Haikyu!! Is a popular sports anime that shot to fame last March of 2020 during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It became popular with anime fans and non-fans alike because of its somehow comforting and comedic vibe which was the exact break everyone needed from the hectic stresses of the year.
Furudate began publishing the original manga in 2011, and the story will conclude in July 2020. In November 2020, Shueisha released the manga’s 45th and final volume. Viz Media is releasing the manga digitally and in print, and the manga was digitally released concurrently with its Japanese publication. The manga was also released digitally in English by MANGA Plus.
Production In April 2014, I.G’s first television anime adaptation of the manga debuted. The anime’s second season debuted in October 2015, and the third season debuted in October 2016. The fourth season’s first half, Haikyu!! To The Top, premiered in January 2020, while episode 13 aired in April 2020. The second part, consisting of episodes 14 to 25, was supposed to debut in July 2020, however it was pushed back owing to the new coronavirus illness (COVID-19) pandemic. The second half will be released in October 2020.
