Upcoming isekai fantasy anime Handyman Saitou in Another World continues to familiarize fans with its diverse set of cast ahead of its January 2023 premiere. The official YouTube channel of Kadokawa anime released Thursday, Dec 1, a new PV trailer for the series, this time, featuring the characters Franlil and Ninia.
The 55-second video introduces Franlil as an elf who cannot use magic, and Ninia as a priest who has the ability to heal wounds. The PV also gives hint on the relationship between the two.
Japanese voice actress Ruriko Aoki (Nene in Komi Can’t Communicate) will voice Franlil, while Azusa Tadokoro (Moroha in Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon) will voice Ninia. The two will be joining the previously named main cast of the series, which include Ryohei Kimura (Alice in Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun) as Saitou, Ai Fairouz (Jolyne in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN) as Raelza, Nao Toyama (Chiho in The Devil is a Part-Timer!) as Lafanpan, and Cho (Brook in One Piece) as Morlock.
Launched in 2018, Handyman Saitou in Another World started as a manga written and illustrated by Kazutomo Ichitomo. It first appeared on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website and was later published under MF comics.
Yen Press, which releases the manga in English, describes the story as follows:
Saitou’s never been anyone special, but his unremarkable path takes a turn when he wakes up in another world. After all, who other than the handyman could be trusted to open locked treasure chests or to repair equipment?
Toshiyuki Kubooka (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina) is directing the series, with Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil) as the screenwriter. Yoko Tanabe (TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy- prop designer) is in charge of the character designs. Tomotaka Osumi (Dagashi Kashi) will handle the music, while Yuichi Imaizumi (So I’m a Spider, So What?) is the sound director.
