An exciting announcement was made over the Hero Classroom PA system regarding the fantasy anime series. The announcement revealed that the series will be premiering in July 2023, accompanied by the release of the first key visual and trailer, as well as the announcement of the theme song artists.
The opening theme song will be performed by NIJISANJI VTuber Kaede Higuchi (I’m Standing on a Million Lives Season 2 OP), while the ending theme will be performed by Akane Kumada (Healer Girl). Although the titles of the songs have yet to be revealed, this announcement has left fans eagerly anticipating the upcoming premiere.

The anime’s main cast is as follows:
- Blade voiced by Reiji Kawashima (Fushi in To Your Eternity)
- Arnest Flaming voiced by Misuzu Yamada (Koushi in Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory)
- Sophitia voiced by Nao Toyama (Chiho in The Devil is a Part-Timer!)
- Kufurin voiced by Hina Kino (Fa in RPG Real Estate)
Hero Classroom is based on the popular light novel series by Shin Araki and Haruyuki Morisawa. The show is being directed by the talented Keiichiro Kawaguchi, who has previously worked on Spy Classroom and SKET Dance, at studio ACTAS. The series composition is being handled by Naoki Hayashi, who has also worked on Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU, and the character designs are being created by Kosuke Kawamura, who is also serving as the chief animation director.
The plot revolves around Blade, a retired brave hero who made a deal with the Demon King and gave up his powers. Blade seeks a normal life by enrolling in a school, but he soon discovers that it is a prestigious institution designed to train heroes. Despite losing his powers, Blade’s exceptional mental and physical abilities are unmatched. Can Blade find peace and quiet as a regular student in this school for heroes?
