Dimple is alive and floating at the end of Mob Psycho 100! Even after Dimple’s emotional death or should I say disappearance in the beginning of season three, he was able to come back to life thanks to his overly-powered psychic friend, Kageyama Shigeo a.k.a Mob, who always believed that he was never gone.
There is always room for a miracle, especially in manga and anime series. In Mob Psycho 100, one of the most unacceptable, shocking, and emotional scene was when the evil-turned-friend spirit of Mob sacrificed himself for the good.
Dimple is an evil spirit who was introduced in the first season episode three of Mob Psycho 100. His relationship with Shigeo started off with a fight before forming an inseparable friendship. Dimple is a former upper-class spirit who aspired to widen the number of his followers. Using one of his abilities to hypnotize people, Dimple gained a lot of followers.
Is Dimple Truly an Evil Spirit?
Technically, he is; however, literally speaking, he is no close to evil. Although Mob and Dimple started off on the wrong foot. They were able to work out their friendship as the series goes on.

Dimple founded the LOL cult in order to fulfill his goal, which is to be a God. Dimple always longed for greater power because he wants to be worshipped by humanity.
His LOL cult revolves around offering people ‘happiness’ by forcing them to laugh and smile. Together with Shigeo’s friend, Mezato. Mob was invited by one of the cult members. After his fight with Dimple, the mass hypnosis became ineffective resulting in the cult to disband.

However, it was not the end for Dimple. With the intention of someday taking over Mob’s body and psychic abilities, he stayed beside him. Little did Dimple know that he was becoming more attached to Mob, not only to him, but also to Ritsu, Reigen, and Teruki.
Dimple is one of the most significant characters in Mob Psycho 100. He heavily influenced the life of many characters in the series, especially Mob. It seemed like he even forgot about his goal of becoming a God for a mean time because of his attachment to Shigeo.

When the Divine Tree emerged, Dimple wanted to pursue his long-delayed plan. But, he didn’t want to do it alone. He wanted his friend by his side; however, they both got into a fight resulting in them to be in an actual battle. During the Divine Tree Arc, Mob and Dimple didn’t only exchange fists, but they were able to convey what they truly feel, which is the importance of friendship.

But, the Divine Tree Arc didn’t ended well. Dimple (the first one who controlled the Divine Tree) had to fight Psycho Helmet, an enemy born out of the energy that was absorbed by the Divine Tree. To ensure the safety of his friend, Dimple sacrificed himself.
With a trembling body, Mob walked out of the Divine Tree as commanded by Dimple using his hypnosis. After getting home, Mob knew that his simple yet funny floating friend is gone. Shigeo was the type of person to keep all of his pains and sufferings to himself; hence, he never shared his true feelings regarding Dimple’s loss until the ???% Arc.
The Good Behind ???% Arc
Dimple survives even after merging with the Divine Tree. Is it because of the power of friendship? Yes! You can definitely say that. If Mob didn’t have any ounce of hope and desperation for his good friend to be alive then he wouldn’t have been there during the time his friend needed him most.
After the Divine Tree Arc, Mob went on with his life after losing Dimple. But it was hard for him, and that is why he never accepted that his friend was completely gone. When the accident resulting for him to unleashed his ???% power control happended, Mob tried his best to dominate the power which his inner demon had over him.

A completely destroyed town and badly injured Teruki Hanazawa, Ritsu, the Body Improvement Club, the Suzuki father-son, Reigen, and other psychics who tried to stop the untamed Shigeo. These are just some of the negative consequences brought upon at the final episode of the series when Mob reached a power control of ???%.
However, it was not all tornadoes and destruction. With the help of his Master, Reigen Arataka, Mob came to accept his true self and emotions, including the hope that his spirit friend, Dimple, is still alive. Dimple’s spirit wasn’t completely destroyed after the Divine Tree Arc. These hidden emotions of Shigeo were able to bring back Dimple with the help of his psychic powers.

Dimple came back possessing Reigen’s body. Together they were able to save Shigeo from being consumed by his dark side. Indeed, Dimple and Mob’s relationship shows that your enemy can also become one of your most trusted ally.
