In/Spectre (Kyokou Suiri) will be having a comeback with its 2nd Season premiering in January 2023 as Tweeted by AnimeTV’s official Twitter page.
The series revealed the new key visual on the official In/Spectre Season 2 website.
The upcoming season will be broadcasted by TOKYO MX and Nippon TV Network and a rebroadcast of In/Spectre Season 1 will be airing every Monday from October 10 at 24:00 JST by both networks.
What Is the Plot of In/Spectre Season 2?
The series revolves around the two main protagonists Kotoko Iwanaga (VA: Akari Kito) and Kuro Sakuragawa(VA: Mamoru Miyano).
When Kotoko was 11 years old she was kidnapped by yokai and they asked her to be the intermediary between the spirit and the human world and act as their Goddess of Wisdom, which cost her right eye and left foot.
Kuro on the other ate two different yokai meat when he was 11 years old that granted him immortality and near-absolute precognition.

They had previously met in a hospital where Kotoko saved Kuro from an accident and she promptly fell in love with him at first sight. But her feelings remained one-sided as Kuro had a girlfriend at the time.
They meet again in the same hospital two years later and Kotoko approaches Kuro this time confessing her feelings for him after finding out about his breakup.

Kotoko then tells him about her job as the Goddess of Wisdom for the yokai which Kuro was sceptical about. However, after fighting a rough yokai in the library they both reveal their true identities.
Kuro then agrees to help Kotoko in her job as the Goddess of Wisdom.
What Is the Status of the Manga In/Spectre?
In/Spectre is a novel written by Kyo Shirodaira (Zetsuen no Tempest, Spiral) and illustrated by Hiro Kiyohara (Another, The Decagon House Murders) and published by Kodansha’s Kodansha Novels in 2011. In 2015 Kodansha also published the manga adaptation by Chasiba Katase in their Shonen Magazine R.
The company then announced in October 2019 that they will no longer print the manga however it will be a digital-only publication and will be published in their Monthly Shonen Magazine starting December 6 along with the digital release on Shonen Magazine R.

The manga was nominated for Best Shonen Manga at the 42nd annual Kodansha Manga Award and currently has over two million volumes in print.
Brain’s Base produced the anime adaptation that was announced on January 14, 2019, and aired between January 11 and March 28, 2020, on TV Asahi, MBS and BS-NTV.
