Jujutsu Kaisen officially released the Season 2 teaser visual! The series is slated to premiere in 2023. There are no details yet about its specific release date. The anime’s official website and Twitter will be updating this soon.
Jujutsu Kaisen‘s first season aired from October 3, 2020, to March 27, 2021. It aired on MBS, TBS, and other affiliate Japanese broadcast channels. Crunchyroll streamed the series outside of Asia and subsequently released the English dub in November 2020. Online streaming sites like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video also premiered the anime in 2020-2021. MAPPA Studio is the anime’s producer.

Jujutsu Kaisen Anime Story
Jujutsu Kaisen is about a teenaged boy named Yuuji Itadori whose ordinary life turned upside when an incident happened in his school. A cursed spirit/Curse attacked his school, and Yuuji made the decision to swallow a cursed item to save his friends. Unknowingly, the cursed item he had swallowed belong to the King of Curses, Ryoumen Sukuna. Yuuji then began his journey to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer dedicated to fight against Curses. He became a student in Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School. He is under the guidance of the most powerful Jujutsu Sorcerer, Gojou Satoru. Yuuji undergoes training, faced strong Curses, made friends, and struggles against Ryoumen Sukuna within himself.
Jujutsu Kaisen Background Info
Gege Akutami is the author and illustrator of Jujutsu Kaisen. The manga serialization started in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine in July 2018. It is also available as a physical and digital copy. As of August 2022, there are 20 volumes that have been published. Shueisha also published the manga on the MANGA Plus website and currently has 195 pages.
VIZ Media started publishing the manga in English in 2019. As of August 2022, there are 17 volumes available for physical and digital copy. The 17th volume is also the best-selling book currently. The 18th volume will be released soon in December 2022, but can be pre-ordered at an earlier date.
Jujutsu Kaisen also spawned two novels written by Kitaguni Ballad under the Jump J Books imprint. The first novel was released in 2019, while the second novel followed in 2020. VIZ Media acquired the license for the English publication of the novels last February 2022.
