Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is nearing its release this summer, and the anime is giving fans a sneak peek at the character designs for young Kento Nanami and other new characters. In the previous season’s finale, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fusiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki were promised more intense battles in the future. However, before that happens, the anime will fill in some gaps from the past.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will start with the Hidden Inventory and Premature Death arcs from the original manga. These arcs, known as the Gojo’s Past saga, take place in 2006, years before the events of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and Season 1. This presents an opportunity for new additions and character makeovers since the story is set when they were still enrolled in Jujutsu Tech. Below are the new character designs for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2:
What Can We Expect from Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s Storyline?
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will premiere on July 6th and is confirmed to run for two cours of episodes. This new season will cover both the Gojo’s Past and Shibuya Incident arcs. In the Gojo’s Past arc, Gojo and Geto are on a crucial mission to protect someone whose importance will become clear in future events seen in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 and the upcoming Shibuya Incident Arc in Season 2.
The Gojo’s Past arc will expand on the story and include younger versions of characters we didn’t see much of in the manga’s version of the events, as well as some new faces. With Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 just a few months away, we can’t wait to see how this flashback adds to the series’ overall narrative.
