Kamisama Kiss Creator Launches Another Romantic Comedy Manga

By Janiene LerioOctober 20, 2022

Romantic Comedy and Fantasy anime fans, it’s your day once again! Julietta Suzuki, the creator, and author of the famous manga-anime Kamisama Kiss has announced that they will publish another manga entitled Oshi ni Amagami (A Nibble for my Fav) in the next issue of Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume Magazine. The story will be about… wait for it… a Vampire otaku!

On Thursday, the 22nd issue of Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine revealed that Julietta Suzuki will release a new manga titled Oshi ni Amagami (A Nibble for my Fav) in the magazine’s next issue, which will be released on November 5.

The manga will have a color opening page and will appear on the front cover of the issue. The first chapter will consist of 48 pages. The manga is described as a “bloody romantic comedy” centered on an anime-fanatic vampire and her sharp-tongued neighbor in the magazine.

The manga is a serialization of a one-shot with the same title that Suzuki published earlier this year in Hana to Yume on April 20. That one-shot focused on Hina, a vampire who has been a shut-in for 30 years and is addicted to hot anime boy characters.

Suzuki’s Meitantei Ko wa Yutsu (Detective Koko Is Melancholy) manga finished on June 3. Suzuki will release a one-shot for the manga in Hana to Yume in January 2020, followed by a serialization in the magazine in September 2020.

Suzuki began the Kamisama Kiss manga series in Hana to Yume in 2008 and finished it in May 2016 with 25 volumes. The manga has been published in English by Viz Media.

Two anime seasons were inspired by Kamisama Kiss. Funimation streamed both seasons as they aired in Japan, and both seasons were also available on home video.

If you’re into fantasy, romance, comedy, and a little gore, it is most likely that you’ll love this work of Suzuki as well!
