The official website for the upcoming sequel to the popular Precure anime franchise, Kibou no Chikara ~ Otona Precure ’23~, has been launched, featuring a teaser visual of the grown-up protagonist Nozomi Yumehara.
Toei Animation announced the production of two new series for adult audiences, including Kibou no Chikara ~ Otona Precure ’23 ~ and a direct sequel to Maho Tsukai Precure! / Maho Girls Precure! (2016-2017), tentatively titled Maho Tsukai Precure! 2 / Maho Girls Precure! 2


The website has confirmed that Yuko Sanpei, who previously voiced the protagonist Nozomi Yumehara / Cure Dream in the original series, will be reprising her role. As of now, there is no information about the other cast members.
The series director for Kibou no Chikara ~ Otona Precure ’23 ~ is Takayuki Hamana(Sorcerous Stabber Orphen). Character design will be handled by Atsuko Nakajima, known for her work on Ranma 1/2 and You’re Under Arrest, in place of the original designer Toshie Kawamura. Yoshimi Narita, the series composition writer from the original series, and Naoki Sato, who composed the original series’ soundtrack, will be returning. The anime production will be a collaboration between Toei Animation and Studio Deen.
Kibou no Chikara ~ Otona Precure ’23 ~ follows the story of Nozomi Yumehara and her friends from the Precure 5 series as they navigate adulthood. The show will premiere on NHK Educational TV in October 2023.
