Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine’s 14th edition recently revealed that the 12th and final compiled volume of Nene Yukimori’s Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible (Kubo-san wa Mob o Yurusanai) manga will feature an epilogue chapter on April 18. This “extra special episode” will be set after the conclusion of the main storyline, giving readers a glimpse of what happens to the characters beyond the final chapter.

The main story of the manga came to an end on Thursday, marking a significant moment for fans of Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible. The final arc, aptly titled “Confession,” began in the magazine’s following issue on February 9, building up to the manga’s ultimate conclusion.

Viz Media is releasing the manga digitally and in print in English. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service is also releasing the manga in English digitally, and it describes the story:

First year high schooler Junta Shiraishi is a mob character who goes unnoticed even when he’s standing right next to you. But his classmate, “heroine-level beauty” Kubo, always notices him and is there to tease him. Anyone can become special to someone, but it might be a little too early to call these feelings “love.” Perhaps this story is still two-steps from being a romantic comedy–let’s call it a sweet comedy where a background character becomes visible!

Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible was first launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in October 2019, and it also runs on the Shonen Jump+ website and app. The manga’s 11th compiled book volume was released by Shueisha in December 2022, while Viz Media published the 5th volume in English on January 3.

The manga’s popularity led to the creation of an ongoing television anime adaptation that premiered on January 10. The series is currently streaming on HIDIVE as it airs, although the show’s staff was forced to delay all episodes past episode 6 due to the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on production. The anime will re-air from episode 1 starting in April to allow fans to catch up and to ensure that viewers who missed episodes due to the delay have the chance to watch the complete series.

What Will the Epilogue Hold for Fans of Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible Manga?

The end is in sight for Nene Yukimori’s Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible manga, but fans can look forward to one final chapter. The 12th and final compiled volume, set to release on April 18, will feature an epilogue that takes place after the conclusion of the main story. This “extra special episode” promises to give readers a glimpse into the future of the characters they have come to love. Whether you’ve been following the manga since its debut or are discovering it through the ongoing anime adaptation, the epilogue is sure to be a bittersweet and satisfying conclusion to this sweet and relatable story. What new developments will we see for Junta, Kubo, and their friends? Only time will tell.
