Some big announcements were made by the cast of the anime film last Monday, At a Saturday screening, the cast of the Eiga Yurukyan (Laid-Back Camp Movie) anime film stated that Afro’s original Yuru Camp (Yurukyan, Laid-Back Camp ) manga is inspiring a third television anime season. To commemorate the occasion, Afro, the creator of the original series showcased an illustration of the characters.

Yuru Camp (Yurukyan, Laid-Back Camp) is a “slow outdoor manga” that follows the lives of two young ladies. Rin enjoys going camping by herself along the lakes that offer a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. Nadeshiko enjoys going on solo cycling journeys to regions where she can see Mt. Fuji. Rin and Nadeshiko go camping together, eat cup ramen, and enjoy the scenery after they meet.
The manga was first published in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine in 2015, and it was then relocated to Houbunsha’s Comic Fuz manga website in 2019. On November 10, Houbunsha will release the 14th compiled volume of the manga. Yen Press began publishing the manga in English in March 2018, and the 12th compilation volume was released on September 27. In Japan, the manga is on pause until February 3.
The manga’s anime adaptation debuted in January 2018, and Crunchyroll streamed the 12-episode series as it aired. An English dub of the first season was also available on Crunchyroll. The anime’s second season premiered in January 2021.
Yuru Camp (Yurukyan, Laid-Back Camp) also inspired an anime film based on its original manga. The anime film opened in Japan on July 1 and is continuing to air.
In January 2019, a live-action television series based on the original manga debuted.
The anime has inspired various video games, and this year will see the release of its first smartphone game for iOS and Android devices.
