This story is a fascinating blend of academia, mind games, and romance that takes place on the Academy island. The island is home to a prestigious school where students compete to establish their rankings. Hiroto Shinohara achieved the highest grade ever recorded in the entrance exam, which is known to be the toughest in the entire country. On his first day at the school, he defeated the previous reigning queen, Sarasa Saionji, and became the fastest student ever to join the school’s elite “Seven Stars.”
However, it’s not entirely true. Hiroto has been keeping up appearances to maintain his top ranking by employing lies and bluffs to navigate the school’s mind games. His trusty ally in this endeavor is the charming “cheat maid” Shirayuki Himeji (voiced by Miku Itō in a previous promotional video), and even Saionji, who is not exactly who she claims to be, lends a hand.
Naoki Matsuura (Black Clover episode director) and Satoru Ohno are directing the upcoming series, Liar Liar, at studio GEEKTOYS, while Momoka Toyoda (My Happy Marriage) is writing the series composition and Yumi Nakamura (Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku OVA) is responsible for the character designs. Fans are eagerly anticipating the show, which is scheduled to premiere in July 2023.
