A brand-new teaser PV for the anime adaptation of Haruki Kuō’s Liar Liar (unrelated to Renjuro Kindaichi’s Liar x Liar manga) light novel series went live on its official site. The PV announces the primary cast, crew, and 2023 tv premiere of the anime.
The website also revealed a new visual for the anime. The novel’s illustrator konomi and the manga artist for the manga adaption Funa Yukina both created illustrations to celebrate the anime’s teaser PV.

Liar Liar is a story about “academy x mind game x romantic comedy” tale that takes place on the “Academy”, an island where students compete to decide their ranks. Hiroto Shinohara receive the highest ever grade on the school’s entrance entrance exam, the most difficult in the entire country.
On his first day at the school, he defeats the former queen, Sarasa Saionji, and joins the school’s exclusive “Seven Stars” club more quickly than any other pupil in history.
In reality though, he actually didn’t. All of it is a lie. He must now use falsehoods and bluffs to combat these mind games being played by the institution if he wants to keep his top status. He does everything it takes with the assistance od the adorable “cheat maid”, Shirayuki Himeji, and even Saionji (who is actually a fraud herself).

Liar Liar is originally a novel series written by Haruki Kuō and illustrated by konomi. The series was published by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint. Since April 2019, eleven volumes have been released. Since August 2019, Media Factory’s seinen manga magazine, Monthly Comic Alive has started serializing a manga adaptation with illustrations by Funa Yukina.
