Lupin Zero shared their latest trailer with the additional cast and theme songs! The new anime is slated to premiere in December 16, 2022 with 6 episodes. It will be streamed by HIDIVE and DMM TV. Telecom Animation Film will be the animation production studio. A new visual is also posted to add to the hype.
The trailer featured the opening theme song which is “AFRO”LUPIN’68″” by composer Takeo Yamashita. The ending song is “Lupin Sanse Shudaika II (Lupin III Theme Song II)” by Tavito Nanao.
Lupin Zero is meant to explore the past of master thief, Arsène Lupin III, in his youth. Whoever is the fan of Lupin III’s exploits, then this anime will definitely be worth watching!

The trailer shows a younger Lupin III already showing a mischievous and confident side of himself. He is also quite intelligent in being able to escape near-death experiences. He teamed up with Daisuke Jigen, in which their friendship reached adulthood as well.
Lupin III shares the same name as his grandfather, Arsène Lupin, the legendary thief. As such, Lupin III is already exposed on the ways and methods of thievery. This was also encouraged by his own father, Lupin II.

Lupin III Manga Background
Monkey Punch is the author and illustrator of the Lupin III manga series. It serialized on Futabasha’s Weekly Manga Action from August 10, 1967 to May 22, 1969 with a total of 14 volumes. Additional chapters were also published in August 12, 1971. The English version of the manga only became available in 2002.
Lupin III was proven to be popular and impactful, as it has since then had multiple anime series and films, as well as live action adapation and video games.
