Mamekichi Mameko NEET no Nichijō will be getting a TV anime adaptation! It also revealed its broadcast schedule on Fuji TV’s “Pop Up!” show. It will release starting on October 3, 2022, and will have new episodes every Monday and Wednesday of the month.
Mamekichi Mameko NEET no Nichijō is a story about a woman named Mameko and her everyday life. She is considered a NEET: Not in Education, Employment, and Training. She lives with a pet dog named Komachi and pet cats named Tabi, Simba, and Melo. Mameko always makes a promise everyday to God that she will start doing something in her life, but fails to do so. She claimed that God is telling her to sleep instead. Mameko goes in her life with seemingly nothing do, yet strange things also happen.

Mamekichi Mameko NEET no Nichijō is an essay manga authored and illustrated by Mamekichi Mameko themselves. It was published first on their blog in 2014, where it is still ongoing with daily comic strips. It is powered by Livedoor Blog.
Kadokawa published it into a book in 2015. It became available for online ordering and e-book version in 2020. The 2nd volume will be released in September 30, 2022. The manga chronicled Mamekichi Mameko’s daily life as a NEET.
The blog was said to have accumulated to 70 million views per month, and 10 million monthly readers.
It was also adapted into a mini live action adaptation series last 2021. It aired 8 episodes from the most popular comic strips on the blog. Tomoka Tanabe played Mamekichi Mameko. She is part of the Borujuku quartet, a performance group who gained recognition on YouTube. The rest of Borujuku members were also part of the live action adaptation, making it their first acting project.
The series also has a collaboration with LINE, where the characters got released as a free sticker set in 2021.
