Fans of hit rom-com anime “My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex” will be meeting more members of the Irido family soon. The anime announced on Twitter that Mizuto’s cousins, Madoka Tanesato and Takema Tanesato, will be making their appearance in this week’s episode to be aired on Wednesday.
Japanese voice actress Yōko Hikasa will play the character of Madoka Tanesato, the older cousin. Hikasa is the voice behind the character of Mio Akiyama in K-On! and Kyoko Kirigiri in Danganronpa.

Meanwhile, Hinata Satō will play the younger cousin, Chikuma Tanesato. Hinato voices Hoshimi Junna in Revue Starlight and Kazuno Leah in Love Live!

My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex is an anime rom-com series based on the light novels written by Kyōsuke Kamishiro and illustrated by Takayaki. It follows the story of ex-lovers Mizuto and Yume. The two became an official couple in middleschool and stayed together until high school. Only two weeks after their separation, the two got reunited again …. but this time as stepsiblings.

The series was first serialized in 2017 on Kakuyomu and got published in print a year later. Rei Kusakabe adapted it into manga in 2019. The series was then turned into an anime by Project No.9 and premiered in July 2022.
Shinsuke Yanagi is directing the series, with Deko Akao as the screenwriter. Character designs are by Katsuyuki Sato.
Other cast members of the TV anime include Rina Hidaka (Yume Irido), Hiro Shimono (Mizuto Irido), Ikumi Hasegawa (Akatsuki Minami), Nobuhiko Okamoto (Kogure Kawanami), and Miyu Tomita (Isana Higashira).
The 11th episode of the series is scheduled to air on Wednesday.
