Disney+ Japan just shared a trailer announcing that it will stream the upcoming romantic comedy anime Murai in Love! The trailer does not feature the anime version yet, rather snippets from the manga. The premiere date has not been revealed yet, but the official manga Twitter will be updating this soon. Fingers crossed!
The anime adaptation was announced last June 15, 2022. There are no details yet about the production staff or the cast.
Murai in Love Synopsis
Tanaka is a high school teacher who enjoys playing otome (virtual dating) games. Murai, a high school student, is in love with Tanaka. Murai confessed to Tanaka about his affections, but got rejected. This could be because Tanaka has no real life experiences when it comes to romance. Miraculously, Murai transformed himself into the exact replica of Tanaka’s favorite character in the otome game.

The trailer depicts the manga snippets of Murai transforming into a very attractive otome character. In this way, he was able to get closer to Tanaka. Tanaka, in turn, gets very flustered because of her interest in otome games.
