“FLAGLIA”, a musical x anime mixed media project has been announced as an original dual production joining the two mediums together.
Flaglia the Musical ~Yukitekaerishi Monogatari~, the musical side of the project will take place in the Middle Ages, while the anime will take place in the present. Both will be based on an original story by Madoka Takano (Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist) who will be also writing the scripts for both productions.
A key visual of the anime was also released along with details of the cast members and staff for both projects.

Itsuro Kawasaki, director of The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting is directing the anime at Studio Gaina. Ziwataneho (After Work) is the original character designer and Eriko Itou (Farewell, My Dear Cramer) is the animation character designer.
The musical is set to be performed at the Nippon Seinenkan Hall from February 3 to February 9, 2023.
The cast includes singer/actor Yoshikuni Dohchin and South Korean boy band SUPERNOVA’s Yoon Hak will be performing both for the musical and anime. The musical will also star Toshiki Seto, the nine members of the Japanese-Korean boy band NIK, Waku Sakaguchi, Shoutarou Ookubou, Tatsuya Tomoishi, and Kenji Sakamoto. The musical will be directed by Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi.
Details of the release date for the anime is yet to be announced.
