The isekai anime My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me! has revealed its key visual and announced its premiere date on January 4. It has also introduced some new cast members and the opening song information.
The new cast members are:
- Mark Ishii as Rick
- Shou Nogami as Lynel
- Akira Sekine as Theodisia
The opening song is performed by Hilcrhyme and titled “Killer Bars.”
The anime is an adaptation of the light novels by Tsuyoshi Fujitaka and Chisato Naruse, which ran from October 2016 to March 2023 with 14 volumes. J Novel Club summarizes the story as:
Awaking to absolute chaos and carnage while on a school trip, Yogiri Takatou discovers that everyone in his class has been transported to another world! He had somehow managed to sleep through the entire ordeal himself, missing out on the Gift — powers bestowed upon the others by a mysterious Sage who appeared to transport them. The light novels also spawned a manga adaptation by Hanamaru Nanto that started in 2018. The original source was a web novel that debuted on Shousetsuka ni Narou in February 2016.
