The official website for Gosei Furukawa’s My Life as Inukai-Dog san’s (Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta, literally If I Became a Dog, I Would Be Picked Up by the Person I Like) television anime began streaming a character trailer for Karen Inukai on Thursday. The video features and previews Saya Aizawa, Mayu Sagara, and Yurie Kozakai’s ending theme tune “Let’s Go My House!!!”

The first three episodes of the anime will be shown in advance at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo on December 18 at 7:00 p.m. Cast members will be present.
The theme music CD, which includes both the opening and closing themes, will be released on February 15.
The animation will air on Tokyo MX on January 6 and BS11 on January 9. HIDIVE will broadcast the anime live as it airs in Japan.
The studio also previously released the main cast of the TV Anime adaptation. The cast includes:
- Shūichirō Umeda as Pochita the dog
- Saya Aizawa as Karen Inukai
- Mayu Sagara as Mike Nekotani
- Yurie Kozakai as Usagi Tsukishiro
At Quad, Takashi Andou is directing the series. The graphic director is Hisashi Saito (Date A Live). The character designer and animation director are Kazuaki Morita (Danganronpa The Animation). The music is being composed by Tatsuya Kikuchi (Hidamari Sketch Honeycomb theme song arrangement/composition). The sound director is Kohei Yoshida (ODDTAXI).
Furukawa first published the manga in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine R in 2020, and it was also available on the Magazine Pocket website. On March 17, the manga was removed from Magazine Pocket and is now available on the Suiybi no Sirius and YanMaga Web sites, as well as Shonen Magazine R.
The manga “dog’s viewpoint romantic comedy” follows a protagonist who wakes up one day to discover he has been transformed into the pet dog of his cool and beautiful classmate Karen Inukai. Karen is calm and expressionless at school, but she adores her pet dog at home.
