Kadokawa recently revealed a new teaser trailer and visual for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Hiroshi Noda and Takahiro Wakamatsu’s manga, No Longer Allowed In Another World (Isekai Shikkaku). The teaser announced that the anime is scheduled to premiere in 2024.
The manga, published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment, presents a unique story. Imagine living a second life in a different world surrounded by cute girls and possessing video game-like powers. It sounds like a dream come true, right? However, for a certain melancholic author, it’s the opposite. He would prefer to drop dead than endure this new existence. All the fantastical adventures hinder his poetic dream of finding the perfect place to die. Despite taking numerous risks, everything inexplicably turns out fine for him. Will this terminally depressed hero discover a newfound purpose in this cheerfully bleak isekai comedy?
The manga, launched by the Love After World Domination duo Noda and Wakamatsu on Shogakukan’s Yawaraka Spirits website in October 2019, has gained popularity. Shogakukan has already released the eighth volume in November 2022, with the ninth volume set to release on June 12. English-speaking readers can enjoy the series through Seven Seas Entertainment, which published the second volume on April 11 and plans to release the third volume on July 11.
The success of Love After World Domination led to a TV anime adaptation that premiered in April 2022. Crunchyroll streamed the anime, providing both the original Japanese version and an English dub. Kodansha USA Publishing is responsible for releasing the English version of the manga.
