The Wano Country storyline brought a series of jaw-dropping fights, putting the Straw Hat Pirates and their friends against powerful opponents. With the Wano country arc concluding in a few episodes, and with Kaido and Luffy’s final fight happening, it is only fitting that we give the Straw Hat pirates the applause that they deserve because, in the Wano Battle Royale, only one will remain victorious. Robin vs. Maria: The Battle of the Elites
Robin, the enigmatic archaeologist with the Hana Hana no Mi power, became embroiled in a high-stakes battle with Maria, the trained spider of the Beast Pirates. Robin squared out against Maria, an expert fighter trained in martial arts, in a battle of wits and ancient talents. Robin, using the Hana Hana no Mi’s abilities, developed numerous arms, each capable of striking with great speed and precision. Maria, who had been trained in lethal fighting methods, proved her agility and expertise by deftly dodging and deflecting Robin’s assaults. The confrontation of these two formidable ladies was a display of strategy and raw might. The battleground evolved into a frenzy of acrobatics and quick moves as they traded blows, leaving observers in amazement at their remarkable ability.
This battle was where the awakening of the Hana Hana No Mi was first introduced. In a desperate resolve to protect her friends, Robin pulled the final trick up her sleeve: Demonio Fleur. This gigantic and demon-like version of Robin was what gave her victory over Maria.
Sanji vs. Queen: The Battle of the Flames
As Sanji, the charming and competent chef, went off against Queen, one of Kaido’s terrifying All-Stars, the setting was set for a violent exchange. Sanji launched his lightning-fast kicks, propelled by the Raid Suit’s improvements, motivated by his dedication to his crew and the people of Wano. Sanji and Queen’s fight erupted with a rush of energy and intensity. Sanji, famed for his chivalrous character and superb combat abilities, unleashed a torrent of lightning-fast kicks, demonstrating his agility and precision. Queen, a skilled user of the Brachio Brachio no Mi, demonstrated his Zoan devil fruit talents by morphing into a threatening Brachiosaurus. The collision of Sanji’s acrobatic strikes and Queen’s physical might create an enthralling sight that had viewers on the edge of their seats. Flames erupted with each attack, enveloping the battlefield and signifying the intense determination of these furious warriors.
During this intense battle, we were able to see how Sanji’s body changed and developed unbeknownst to him. He struggled with the fact that he was changing and turning into the same heartless monsters that his brothers were, and because of this, he decided to never again wear the raid suit that Judge Vinsmoke had given him. Even though Queen had provoked him countless times to wear the raid suit, Sanji did not allow himself to be tempted. Through pure might, Sanji was able to defeat Queen with his signature Diambe Jamble move.
Zoro vs. King: The Battle of Pride
Meanwhile, Zoro, the unbreakable swordsman, was engaged in a titanic struggle with King, another of Kaido’s All-Stars. Before the battle began, Zoro had already significantly injured himself from protecting Luffy, Law, and Kidd during their fight with Kaido. With nothing but broken bones, Zoro had been laying and sleeping wrapped in plaster (like a mummy). However, when he finally had the chance to meet up with Chopper, the crew’s doctor, they presented him with a solution.
Apparently, there was a specific medicine from Zou that allowed the users to regain their strength instantly for a few hours. This meant that whatever pain Zoro was feeling at the moment would be gone because of this herbal medicine. However, there was a catch. According to the doctors from Zou, Zoro would definitely get his skills and his strength back, but after the medicine had worn off, he would experience four times the pain and damage he had already dealt with, and more. There was a serious risk to such an enticing offer, but because he had no other tricks up his sleeve, Zoro decided to use the medicine without a doubt in his mind.
When he had finally regained his strength through the medicine, the battle began. Zoro, armed with his famous blades, faced King’s unrivaled battle abilities and frightening force. The confrontation between Zoro and King represented the peak of swordsmanship in One Piece. Zoro launched a barrage of accurate and destructive attacks while wielding his legendary swords, proving his unequaled expertise. King, a frightening warrior of enormous power, reacted with his own lethal skills, leaving the air tense. The sheer intensity and impact of their sword clashes resonated across the battlefield, inspiring amazement and exhilaration. As their confrontation got more intense, it became clear that this was a meeting of titans, a struggle that would test their boundaries and determine who would triumph.
Law & Kidd vs. Big Mom: The Worst Generation’s Resolve
Law and Luffy’s alliance was made for one reason: to disband the beast Pirates and beat one of the four emperors of the new world: Kaido. However, circumstances didn’t really work to their advantage. Upon arriving in Wano, Law, and Luffy found that one other pirate from the Worst Generation had been imprisoned, and that pirate was Eustass Kid.
Fast forward to the raid, Luffy, Law, and Kid had one thing in mind: To destroy everything that Kaido had built. However, they weren’t the only ones who had an alliance. During the banquet, a formidable alliance was formed between two of the most dangerous four emperors and the former members of the rock pirates: Big Mom and Kaido. This alliance was formed because they wanted to take revenge on the little brats that called themselves pirates and teach them a lesson.
Episodes later, we see that Luffy was left alone with Kaido, while Big Mom, Law, and Kid fell down to the lower floors to continue what they had started on the rooftop. It was at this moment that an alliance was formed between Trafalgar Law and Eustass Kid.
The crafty Trafalgar Law and the fiery Eustass Kid formed an incredible alliance to take on the intimidating Big Mom, one of the world’s most powerful pirates. Big Mom’s tremendous strength and voracious appetite presented the couple with a daunting problem. Law and Kid’s partnership against the unstoppable Big Mom set the stage for a fight of titans. Big Mom proved to be an invincible force, famed for her tremendous strength and ravenous desire. Law used the Ope Ope no Mi to influence the environment, gaining strategic advantages and interrupting Big Mom’s attacks. Meanwhile, Kid used his strong magnetic skills to launch persistent attacks, hurling metallic missiles at their foe. The conflict between this strong coalition and the unstoppable Big Mom increased, resulting in a catastrophic spectacle that rocked the battlefield’s very foundations. As two titans fought, their powers collided in a show of sheer force and resolve, Wano’s life hung in the balance.
In the recently concluded Episode 1067, Law and Kid were declared as victors, which meant that they were now one step closer to destroying the evil doings of both Big Mom and Kaido, a win for the Worst Generation.
Now all that’s left is one final battle.
One Piece’s Wano Country arc featured an unprecedented number of battles, each more thrilling than the last. The confrontations had spectators on the edge of their seats, from Sanji’s blazing kicks against Queen’s sheer might to Zoro’s clash with the powerful King and Robin’s ancient powers vs Maria’s devastating talents.
