With a spectacular new poster, One Piece Film: Red has officially finished its run in theaters throughout Japan and the rest of the world! The latest One Piece feature picture may have finished its international run in theaters last year, but it has been such a hit for Toei Animation in Japan that it is still playing in theaters this year. One Piece Film: Red is now officially finished as it prepares for home media distribution, with one more month’s run via Japanese cinemas to round off its tremendously successful premiere.
Following its enormous success last year, One Piece Film: Red stated that it would be continuing for a few more weeks, as the feature film has finally completed its run in Japan as of January 29th. To commemorate the conclusion of the run, the series’ creators solicited fan art from fans across the world and merged all of their efforts into a spectacular new poster for the film, which you can see in full below. It simply goes to demonstrate how powerful the film was.

One Piece Film: Red, directed by Code Geass franchise director Goro Taniguchi, written by One Piece: Gold writer Tsutomu Kuroiwa, and with original series creator Eiichiro Oda as creative producer just finished its theatrical run in Japan, which means it won’t be long before it hits home media later this year.
If you’re hoping to catch the film on Blu-ray (not yet announced) soon, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have teased the film’s plot as follows:
“Uta —the most beloved singer in the world. Renowned for concealing her own identity when performing, her voice has come to be described as “otherworldly.” Now, for the first time ever, Uta will reveal herself to the world at a live concert. As the venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans —excited pirates, the Navy watching closely, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance —the voice that the whole world has been waiting for is about to resound. The story begins with the shocking fact that she is Shanks’ daughter.”
One Piece Film: Red is arguably one of the best film installments of the series to date, and we can’t wait to see more!
