Manga creator ONE, the brain behind hit manga series One-Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100, is currently working on a new manga series! Kodansha’s Shonen Sirius magazine announced on Wednesday that ONE and artist Kyōtarō Azuma have team up to create a new fantasy battle series titled Versus. The manga will debut on Shonen Sirius magazine’s November 26th issue.

Versus takes place in a fantasy world where demons and humans exist. In the story, demons have ruled over the world, bringing fear and despair to what’s left of humanity. The plot will center on the battle between 47 heroes gathered by humans against the 47 demon generals led by a Dark Lord.
In a tweet, ONE said he will be in charge of the manga’s original writing but will nonetheless handle the design proposals for some characters.
This is not the first time that ONE teams up with a manga artist like Kyōtarō Azuma. In 2012, he adapted his original webcomic One Punch Man into a manga, with Yusuke Murata doing the artwork.
The announcement of the new manga marks ONE’s first new series in 10 years, following the release of Mob Psycho 100 in 2012. Many fans were pumped up with the news, while some expressed concerns over how the new project might affect the pacing of ONE’s other ongoing manga series, One Punch Man.
No other information about the upcoming manga series is available to date.
